Fowler Simmons Radiology currently have a Fellow in residency. A Fellow is a fully qualified and accredited Radiologist furthering their education and knowledge in a specialised area. Fowler Simmons Radiology are pleased to offer a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology enabling Dr Fowler to share his expertise.

Sven completed his medical training in Perth, at the University of Western Australia, graduating with Honours in 2010.

He has a sporting background and developed an interest in musculoskeletal medicine early in his medical training. As a student, Sven undertook electives at the Adidas (Unisports) Sports Medicine Institute in New Zealand and at the Perth Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre.

His interest in musculoskeletal medicine developed during his Radiology training, attending Skel Rad in Melbourne 2016, completing 6 months of musculoskeletal radiology at Royal Perth Hospital, joining the Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (AMSIG) in 2018 and attending the Annual Scientific meeting later that year.

Sven enjoys musculoskeletal radiology due the balance of diagnostic and procedural work, including hands-on ultrasound scanning and interaction with patients. He also likes the challenge and exposure to all imaging modalities (x-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI) that musculoskeletal radiology offers.

Sven has a keen interest in AFL (West Coast Eagles) and tennis, as well as running and cycling.
