John Nisyrios

SA State Manager / Chief Radiographer

How long have you been in Medical Imaging? When I started Medical Imaging, non-spiral single slice CT was in vogue. Needless to say I have seen many changes over the years, not only technical advances, but also the ever changing landscape of private sector radiology. I started with Fowler Simmons Radiology almost at its inception, helping Dr Shaun Fowler set up the practice in 2012.

What do you enjoy about your job? My clinical interests are advanced Musculoskeletal and Neurological imaging along with interventional spinal work. I have been actively involved in developing many advanced MSK protocols with Dr Shaun Fowler. The difference with a sub specialised practice, such as FSR, is the personalised care you can provide patients and the collaboration that comes with working with sub specialised Radiologists and Medical Imaging professionals.

Me: I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family, I am an avid movie buff and football fan having visited Old Trafford several times to see Manchester United play. When time allows, I enjoy PT sessions, running and cycling (minus the lycra and the St Peters Bakehouse)
